visit Naples weekly, and two weeks ago I was on my way to my usual pizza spot when I came across this restaurant. The reviews were very good, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a pizza with Parmigiano and added salame — it was absolutely amazing! While looking at the menu, I noticed they had pasta frutti di mare, which is one of my favorite dishes at Italian restaurants outside of Italy. So this week I returned specifically to try it. When the pasta arrived, I was a bit surprised to see that it only contained oysters. I gently moved it around, thinking maybe there were shrimp or other seafood underneath, but there weren’t. Since the price was around €18–22, I asked the waiter for clarification. He explained that this is how they prepare it. I thanked him and continued eating, although I was slightly confused. Shortly after, the manager came to speak with me. I explained what I personally understand as frutti di mare, and she kindly offered an alternative. In the end, she replaced the dish with a proper mixed seafood pasta, which I truly appreciated. I will let you judge from the photos which one reflects a traditional frutti di mare and which one is simply oysters. Overall, they handled the situation very professionally, even though it felt a bit uncomfortable at first. Clear menu descriptions. Let’s call things by their name, especially on a menu in a tourist area and in a different language. Ñast but not least Eliane and tonia were fantastic, however my first experience with the pizza and the tall guy that I forgot the name was a "to come back"
The food was outstanding, full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. The staff were attentive and welcoming, making us feel completely at ease. The outdoor seating was comfortable and relaxing — dining there was a real pleasure ! And the most important thing, our server Claudio is the best! Very sweet and kind and professional:)

We savored the Margherita pizza, sautéed clams, and tiramisu, each dish a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to fresh, authentic, and flavorful ingredients. Claudio’s impeccable service, from the moment we arrived to the final bite, ensured a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Claudio’s genuine hospitality truly elevated our meal, making it a truly unforgettable experience. We highly recommend La Lazzaro Pizzeria for both its delectable food and exceptional service. It’s a must-visit destination in Naples! 🇮🇹🍕
Food was really good and friendly service. They speak English as well, which helps for tourists. Nice ambiance, along with generous portions sizes. Would definitely come back if I’m visiting again. Margherita pizza 4/5 Spaghetti alle vongole 5/5 Rum baba 5/5 5€ Aperol Spritz, say less. The swordfish carpaccio is also recommended for those willing to broaden their culinary horizons. Not “fishy” tasting at all.
A lovely, authentic restaurant with a traditional feel. The food was excellent, and the staff were attentive and did their best to make sure we were happy. We really enjoyed our meal, thank you very much!
