What a gem! Just round the corner from the central station. When you’re tired of pasta and pizza, this is the place to go. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The focus is meat which is really good quality and competitively priced given the quality. I have a lovely fillet cooked to perfection while my husband really enjoyed his Italian burger. Service was great too.
Amazing little restaurant with amazingly kind people! I totally recommend this restaurant for the variety and uniqueness of their dishes. I recommend the pulled pork burger for big appetites!
Naples is known for pizza and pasta, so finding a place that caters perfectly to an animal-based way of eating felt like striking gold. Il Piastrato is that place. A small, unassuming spot near Napoli Centrale that doubles as a butcher shop and restaurant — and that’s exactly what makes it special. The steak was the highlight of the meal. Cooked on the piastra, beautifully seasoned, with that deep, rich flavor you only get from properly aged beef. They have a dry-aging cabinet right in the restaurant, so you know exactly what you’re getting — no shortcuts, just quality meat done right. The meatballs were equally impressive — tender, full of flavor, and clearly made from scratch with care. Two dishes, both executed perfectly. For anyone following an animal-based or carnivore diet, this is genuinely one of the best spots you’ll find in Southern Italy. No need to navigate around bread baskets and carb-heavy menus. Here, meat and animal products ARE the menu. You can walk in, order without compromising, and leave completely satisfied. The staff is warm, attentive, and clearly proud of what they serve. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. If you’re a meat lover visiting Naples, skip the tourist traps and make the short walk to this gem. An absolute must-visit.
